
Our Staff
Meet our staff and get to know their passion for teaching children and their love for watching students grow in the Lord. All of our staff are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Early Childhood Development.

Pastor Allen Thomas
Pastor Allen Thomas has been an active member of Gospel Tabernacle for 28 years. In 2001, he became the liaison pastor for GTA. He has a Master of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Southwestern Christian University and serves as Gospel Tabernacle's Children's Pastor. "Pastor Allen" oversees the daily operations of GTA's pre-school, before and after-school, and summer camp programs. He and his, wife Bo have 7 children and 5 grand-children. He loves to see children grow and develop in their relationship with the Lord.

Mrs. Lila Brant
Lila is the cafeteria manager at Gospel Tabernacle Academy. Lila has been cooking for over 10 years. Before cooking she also taught the 3 year old preschool class for 8 years. In conjunction with the Cape Fear Tutoring Food Program we provide a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack. Lila loves watching the children grow strong and healthy.

Ms. Eliza Thomas
Eliza Thomas is the Director at GTA. Eliza obtains a bachelor's degree in Religious Education with a focus on discipleship ministry. Eliza also has her certificate in Early Childhood Administration. Eliza has volunteered at GTA since 2013 and has been an employee since March 2017. Eliza has a passion for children and enjoys watching the children grow in academics as well as growing in the Lord.

Ms. Mattie Worley
Mattie Worley is a Teacher for the 2 and 3-Year-Old classes. Mattie is pursuing her Asso. Degree in Graphic Design. Mattie is always excellent in helping parents potty train their children. Mattie loves children and enjoys helping them in their academics and in their spiritual growth.

Mrs. Marcy Sasser
Marcy has been employed at GT for 7 years and began doing the finances for GTA in 2016. Marcy graduated from high school with a business background and went to Wayne Community College for childcare. Marcy loves children with a passion, therefore, loves to manage the financial department of GTA. Marcy has participated in many events for children. When Marcy is not working, she cares for the children in the nursery on Sunday morning with her 2 daughters. Marcy enjoys watching children grow in Lord.

Ms. Aaliyah Thompson
Aaliyah Thompson is a teacher for our 2 and 3-Year-Old classes. Aaliyah has obtained her Asso. Degree in Early Childhood Education. Aaliyah works hard to make sure the children have a fun and memorable experience here at GTA. Aaliyah loves children and it is her priority to make sure the children grow not only academically, but spiritually too.

Ms. Dorothy Jiles
Dorothy Jiles is a Teacher for the 2 and 3-Year-Old classes. Dorothy loves working with children and enjoys helping them learn and grow academically.

Ms. Kebrina Barnes
Kebrina Barnes is the Lead Teacher for GTA's 4-Year-Old class. Kebrina has lived in Dunn, NC for most of her life. Kebrina attended CCCC in Lillington and received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Kebrina has worked in childcare for over 20 years and has enjoyed working with all the different ages from infants to school age children. Kebrina loves to teach children and help them grow academically.

Ms. Jeanette Sneed
Jeanette Sneed is the Lead Teacher to GTA's 4-Year-Old "Ready, Set, Go!" Class. Jeanette has obtained degrees in Social Work, Religious Education, and Certification in Early Childhood Education. Jeanette has taught first graders as a volunteer teacher for many years. Jeanette has worked as an After-school Instructor for the Dunn Police Athletics League assisting students K-2 grade. Jeanette has furthered her education while employed at GTA by taking and completing Professional Training courses in Early Childhood Development in order to facilitate the needs of students.

Ms. Natalie Thomas
Alasha Gainey is the Assistant Teacher for GTA's 4-Year-Old classes. Along with her three daughters, Alasha loves to help children further their education and watch them grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
Hannah Cole is one of GTA's After-School Counselors. Hannah has worked/volunteered at GTA since 2011 as a summer camp/after school counselor and Pre-school teacher's assistant. When Hannah is not working, she serves as Gospel Tabernacle's interpretive dance instructor while pursuing her bachelor's degree in Religious Education with a focus on discipleship at Heritage Bible College. Hannah enjoys watching the children grow in Christ.
Natalie Thomas is one of GTA’s After-school counselors. Natalie has worked/volunteered at GTA since 2018 as a Summer camp/After-school counselor. When Natalie is not working she serves as an Mpact leader in Gospel Tabernacle's Mpact program which focuses on teaching young girls the gospel of Christ. Natalie loves the Lord as well as working with children, she enjoys watching the children grow in their academics and in the Lord.
